AfterGas is a trip-tracking tool for gig workers. By downloading or using AfterGas you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AfterGas mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by AfterGas ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Service
AfterGas helps gig workers calculate real net earnings after fuel costs, estimate IRS mileage deductions, and track trip history. All data is stored locally on your device. AfterGas does not guarantee accuracy of any tax, earnings, or deduction calculation — consult a qualified tax professional before filing.
3. AfterGas Pro — Subscriptions & Purchases
3a. Monthly and Annual Subscriptions
Monthly and annual Pro subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time through your Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Google Play under their standard refund policy.
3b. Lifetime Purchase — Important Definitions
Please read this section carefully
The AfterGas "Lifetime" purchase grants access to AfterGas Pro features for the supported lifetime of the AfterGas application — meaning for as long as AfterGas is actively maintained and distributed. It does not mean the purchaser's biological lifetime, nor does it constitute a guarantee of perpetual service.
Specifically, the Lifetime purchase is subject to the following conditions:
- App discontinuation: If AfterGas is discontinued, removed from distribution, or ceases active development, the Lifetime entitlement ends at that time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of any such discontinuation.
- Platform compatibility: Continued functionality of the app — including Lifetime access — depends on compatibility with the Android platform and the Google Play Store. If Android platform changes, OS updates, or Google Play policies render the app non-functional and we are unable to resolve the incompatibility within a reasonable timeframe, we cannot guarantee continued access.
- Future feature tiers: The Lifetime purchase covers all Pro features available at the time of purchase and incremental improvements to those features. Significant new feature tiers or substantially expanded product lines introduced after your purchase date may be offered under a separate, optional pricing structure. We will not remove existing Pro features from Lifetime purchasers to force an upgrade.
We take the spirit of a Lifetime purchase seriously. Our intent is to honor it for as long as the app exists in substantially its current form. These limitations exist to accurately represent what we can commit to, not to create loopholes.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into AfterGas. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app, attempt to bypass Pro entitlement checks, or use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any earnings or tax figures produced are accurate for your specific situation. Use of any financial or tax information from AfterGas is at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AfterGas and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost earnings, tax penalties, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
